Chilling video produced by a Muslim group called Revolution Muslim (http://www.revolutionmuslim.com/ ) in which they argue that death is an appropriate response for any who blaspheme Mohammed by the written or spoken word. Shows pictures of Stone and Parker of South Park, Theo Van Gogh, and other "blasphemers." Includes the line "It is clear that the harming of Allah and his messenger by poetry and defamation, the blood of such a person is not protected by any means."
Problem is the Christian bible also says to kill blasphemers.
ReplyDeleteLeviticus 24:16 “And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him…..”
I am living in a world of irrational mythology based religious zombies.
Can't we get YouTube to take this video off their website? They took Bin Laden's facebook page off last week. Why can't we get YouTube to take this down also.
ReplyDeleteFreedom of speech, which the jihadists abuse over and over again is a freedom I would like to remain in place - even when it is something like this deadly video.
ReplyDeleteWith freedom of speech in mind, Google often bends over backwards to permit potentially emotionally charged postings on YouTube or even on this blog where somebody possibly ends up being offended.
Freedoms of speech are not based on the offensive content but on the acceptance of people saying what they think.
The suggestion to remove the "offensive" video from YouTube (or anywhere) becomes "stifling/chilling of free speech" increasingly being seen with the Oba-Hussein-Khomeini administration which complains about the Tea Party but slams criticism of their own Chicago thug style nefarious actitivities.
The latest example is the Administration's outraged protests of advertising supporting Israeli view and talking points.
Anything pro-Moslem has become protected speech putting them, into a privileged class in our society, whereas paid advertising in Haaretz gets angry retorts fron Oba-Husssein, who brooks no opposition and were it possible , (he appears to be working on it with his Civilian Security Forces) he would imrpison anyone with opposing points of view differing from his Marxist-Islamist ones .
I'm ambivalent about taking this out of the public eye.
ReplyDeleteOn one hand, it's an intolerant and violence inducing piece.
On the other hand, it's an intolerant and violence inducing piece - defining Islamicist for who the are and the depth of contempt in which they thrive.
For an element of history (element is used as there's ambiguity as to whether it's a religion or a political philosophy), that so romantically and dramatically drove populations into slavery and "Submission", they're pretty thin skinned.
(But, to have a last laugh, let's think that Muhammed could see his dream-world run by people he considered effimate - Persians.)
