ReplyDeleteHaving had experience with counter-terrorism, specially Arab terrorists, saying one thing in English for Western consumption and a totally opposite message in Arabic (or Persian in Iran) is standard operations to a point where the messages do not even resemble each other in any way. Often totally contradict each other.

BTW there is no such thing as a Palestinian! Those who calinm this apppelatin are a hodge-podge mix of various Arabs, who tried to find some legitimacy for themselves by trying to link themselves to the Philistines - who went EXTINCT - some 3,000 years ago!

ReplyDeleteSorry about all the typos in my response and kudos to you for your authoring articles that seem to be published in MSM circles. Unless someone has the same name or tag, which I have not encountered elsewhere before.
Now, to an1im, thanks for the post and remembering I had been looking for this video.
The editing of the scenes could easily be attributed to the photographer's tolerance or lack ot it for graphic portayal beyond a certain point.
Based on historical tracts and graphic descriptions of this kind of execution intended to cause extreme pain on captured soldiers so they die in agony and instil fear on those still free, teh video has a strong thread of reality.
EXCEPT: THERE'S NO BLOOD ANYWHERE. At least not that I can see.
And, on a swift look at the crowd, there appears to be a white man dressed to look like a local native.
However when you read history you will find this kind of thing went on all the time, even in Napoleonic Europe, so it is not misleading but more a "cleaner" portrayal of reality.
And from what I can gather, still happens in Moslem countries today.
Just as in Islamic Iran, they quite often brutally whip a condemned man or woman - sometimes 200 lashes - THEN hang them.
So this ghastly video accurately depicts the mindsets found in Islamic societies not necessarily an actual event.
My guess would be this particular video comes from a scene in a commercial theater movie.
